After the Temple

Integration & Aftercare

The journey does not end when the event closes. Integration is where the real transformation occurs, bringing the wisdom of your experience into embodied understanding and daily life.

First 24 Hours

Immediate Aftercare

Rest & Gentleness

Your nervous system has been activated and opened. Honor the need for slowness, rest, and gentle re-entry. Avoid rushing back into demands or overstimulation.

Hydration & Nourishment

Drink water. Eat grounding foods. Your body has done profound work and needs physical care and replenishment.

Emotional Waves

Emotions may arise: joy, sadness, confusion, vulnerability. This is natural. Let them move through you without judgment or story-making.

Avoid Big Decisions

You may feel expanded, raw, or profoundly shifted. Wait before making major life decisions. Give the experience time to settle.

Days to Weeks

Deeper Integration

Journaling & Reflection

Write without editing. Let your experience speak through you.

What did I discover about myself?

What surprised me?

Where did I feel most alive? Most scared?

What wants to change in my life now?

Somatic Integration

Continue connecting to your body.

Movement practices (dance, yoga, walking in nature)

Breathwork to process and release

Touch or self-massage to stay embodied

Notice where you hold tension or aliveness

Relational Processing

If you attended with a partner.

Create space to share experiences without judgment

Honor that you may have had different journeys

Express gratitude and any tender edges

Reconnect through presence, not analysis

What May Arise

Common Experiences

Expansion

Feeling more alive, open, connected. A sense of possibility. Deep gratitude. Erotic aliveness spilling into all areas of life.

Contraction

Fear, shame, doubt. Questioning what happened. Wanting to close down or hide. This is also natural: expansion often brings protective contraction.

Grief

Touching aliveness can reveal what has been missing. You may grieve for past versions of yourself or relationships. Let the tears come.

Activation

Old patterns, trauma responses, or protective mechanisms may surface. This is healing movement, not regression. Stay gentle with yourself.

When to Seek Support

Please Reach Out If You Experience

  • Persistent dissociation or numbness

  • Intrusive memories or flashbacks

  • Overwhelming shame or self-judgment

  • Feeling unsafe in your body or relationships

  • Anything that feels too big to hold alone

Long-Term Integration

True integration happens over months, not days. The insights and openings from your experience will continue to unfold.

Notice how your relationship to pleasure, power, vulnerability, and presence shifts in everyday life. This is where the practice truly lives.

You may be called to return for deeper exploration. You may need time and space before re-entering. Both are valid. Trust your rhythm.

The temple lives within you now.
